So this is my first post ever about my monthly blogging goals! To celebrate my new age. LOL. Yeah, Iโm turning 25 on Aug 1! Feel so old to start my own blog when I knew I could start earlier years ago.
As you know, I started my blog in June and July has been a great month for me! I made:
- First affiliate sales with Creative Market
- Sold 5 of my smart blog planner
- Sold 3 of my Pinterest templates
- Join 5 more affiliate program
- Engaging with awesome bloggers and creators on Twitter
- Launch my Facebook community
- Publish 12 blog contents
- Hit 2,500 monthly blog views
- Getting more traffic from Pinterest
- Approved by Canva affiliate program (since I love Canva so much)
- Approved by Media.net to start ads with them (finally!)
- and so MUCH MORE!
And since August is kinda my month, I want to make it the best of the best! I’m starting step by step but I want to achieve more than the previous month.
So, without any futher ado, here my blogging goals for August!
August Blogging Goals
Start My Weekly Newsletter
I havenโt started my weekly or monthly newsletter yet. If you have subscribed to my newsletter, you will get my free ebook and get access to my freebies. So, I decided to start my weekly newsletter this month and pick Sunday as the best choice. Iโm going to share my blogging tips and some useful resources to build your successful blog. If you havenโt subscribed to my blog yet, join now! I promise you I wonโt send you spam email – I will only send weekly or monthly updates for my contents, products, or offers.
Update Old Content
Iโve started to update my old content every weekend. Whether it is to change the featured photos, optimized photos, update links, check keywords, improve my SEO, etc. I regularly update my content and I want to increase my DA as well. I will talk about this more deeply this month, how to update your old content and which part you need to fix to increase your DA.
Network
Networking is really important for bloggers. I created a Facebook community and now already has 25+ members. So, this month I want to hit 100 members. The twitter community (follow now if you haven’t) will also start working this month and focus on sharing daily threads for bloggers and writers who are using Twitter. For this month’s blogging goals, I want to be more engaging and meet new fellow bloggers and exchange some ideas to build our successful blog together.
Be Consistent
As you know, I always talk about being consistent. Somehow, this month I get distracted with my job and my family so sometimes I put aside my blog and start doing something else. I feel guilty when Iโm not showing up on Twitter, updating some posts, or interacting with others. I also feel bad when I don’t keep track of my blogging tasks and keep delaying some content. At least I tried to always publish 3 blog posts every week so I will have 12 posts by the end of the month. This month I want to be more consistent with my blogging schedule so I can achieve more than the previous month.

3,000 Monthly Blog Views
I started blogging on June 11 and I was able to reach over 855 views (11 June – 31 June). In July, I got 2,627 monthly blog views. This was a massive achievement for me! So for August, I want to reach 3,500 monthly views. I want to dream big and push myself to reach these goals!

Increase my DA score
My current DA is 6. I used Moz DA Checker to check this out. I would like to get my score up to at least 10 by this month. Therefore, I need to work on writing more guest posts for people in August and also working on my SEO.

Getting More Traffic From Pinterest
To be honest, Iโve been neglecting Pinterest for days and not being so active to pin my contents. The Pinterest algorithm keeps getting up and down or messed up so somehow it makes me up and down as well. Even though I get traffic from Pinterest, but I want to make it my biggest source of traffic – so it makes me think about what should I change from my strategy.
So far, I have had a little bit of success with my Pinterest after using it for a full month. You can find me on Pinterest here, I will follow back. Pinterest is currently my fourth source of traffic. Therefore, I feel I still have so much to learn. This month, I want to get back and keep trying (and changing) and see what will be the results in the end.

Write My Ebook
Iโve been selling planner and Pinterest pin templates. And this month Iโm planning to write and release my e-book โSet Up Your Blog For Successโ. I want to break down ALL of my blogging strategies to those still struggling to build their blogs.
Starting from how to design your blog, find inspiration, planning your blog content, how to join affiliate marketing and make sales, update old blog posts to improve your SEO and increase your DA by +3 in two weeks, how to use social media to drive blog traffic, selling digital products, my Pinterest strategy, anything blogging-related that beginners ought to know! I hope it will release this month!
Twitter 600 followers
In July, Iโm able to get 234 new followers. Itโs awesome! So in August, I want to hit 600 followers or more, which means I need at least 184 to reach 600.
Make More Sales
In June and July, I started to join affiliate marketing. Every week I look into even more to join. So far, I have joined 15 affiliates – looking for more this month!
I want to find out all the different ways I can make money and at the end of July, I got accepted by media.net! Iโm still waiting to join Mediavine, maybe need to wait for months or a year to reach 50K monthly blog views. So, starting this month I want to make money from the media.net ads network.
I still have more blogging goals but so far these 10 are my main goals this month! I want to be more consistent and build my confidence to reach all of these goals.
And I would like to say thank you for everyone who helped and supported me. I feel so happy to join this community, everyone is so kind, supportive, give me positive advice and experienced, somehow sometimes made me hesitate to approach some of them. But I’m glad I can meet them through social media and interact with them.
