What are the essentials girl boss should have to stay focus and productive?
During the pandemic, some of you may spend more time working from home. So, today I am going to share with you the essentials girl boss should have on her desk to stay productive!
As a blogger and creator who works from home a lot, having an organized workspace is really essential for me. It makes me feel excited to work in a comfortable place, helps me stay concentrated, productive, and work harder.
In today’s post, I will share things that you can add to your desk or decorate your workspace. If you’re a rose gold lover and have a dream or plan to decorate your workspace with rose gold things, here are my recommendations to create your dream rose gold workspace!
A Desk Lamp
A desk lamp is one of the best desk essentials girl boss should have on her desk. If you work early in the morning or later at night, you should have it. Even if I have a light in the room, I still need a good desk lamp if I want to work on my laptop or write in my planner.
Laptop
A laptop is obviously on the list of desk essentials girl boss should have on her desk. I always work on my laptop every day. From 10 am till night. I’m not getting any work done without my laptop.
Snacks
This could be different for many people! But I definitely need snacks, cookies, chocolate cakes, or something sweet around. I like to store coffee-flavored candy and chocolate balls on my desk so I can have them in the middle of working. They make me happy and increase my productivity!
Pretty Planner
I like physical planners so much!
Although now there are tons of digital planners you can choose from, but I like the idea when you write down everything that I need to do on my favorite planner!
A planner is one of the most important desk essentials for me personally and the essential girl boss should have. I start using a planner at the beginning of 2020 and I can see that my life is more organized than before. Without a planner, I’m lost. I combine my physical planner with an organizing app called Trello and also google spreadsheets to help with my blogging tracking.
Since I want to be more organized and sometimes I forgot what I have to do, so planners are excellent for keeping you on track with what you need to get done during the day.
A Water Bottle
You need to stay hydrated while working in your home office. I used to use a glass that’s why I have to go back and forth to drink water. But I started to buy a few different water bottles and fill them up then put them on my desk. To be honest, I’m so bad at keeping my body healthy – I often forget to drink because I simply do not get thirsty. Having a water bottle next to me will be like a reminder and make me drink enough water even when I’m not thirsty!
Remember to have tumblers instead of plastic bottles. Since I have a couple at home so I never have to buy plastic water bottles. Every little effort helps with saving your environment.
Coffee Mug
As a coffee lover – or cappuccino, I need a good coffee mug to get me through the day. I’m not a coffee or tea lover before, but since I’m working and sometimes feel sleepy, I definitely need to have at least a cup of coffee during the day. A cute coffee mug with a unique design is a good way to decorate your workspace and it’s a desk essential girl boss should have!
Stationery
Since I always write down my task, I love to have a lot of color pens/highlighters to write with, have unique paperclips and I use a post-it to make notes on my planner. This is an essential girl boss should have if you work on any online courses that include specific details!
Desk Decor
I love decorating my workspace and I have a dream to create my rose gold workspace!
This is obviously different for everyone if you love simple but elegant, white and black color is a nice choice! Or brown if you prefer aesthetic.
I bought dried flowers and put them in a vas since love seeing them when I’m working. I also have a lot of colorful pens next to me. It’s simple but the desk decor makes me stay focused and productive!
Personally, I get motivated when having some of these at my desk – it always helps me with focusing on my daily to-do list. If you follow me on Instagram, I always post a picture of a cappuccino! I always order the same drink whenever I’m going out to meet up with friends or when I stay at home.

Yes to plants! I recently added a couple to my desk and they really do brighten things up. Now I just need to remember to water them.
Yes, you’re right! Because I’m not good at keeping plants alive, so I prefer to have dried flowers 😀

I’ve been a full-time blogger for years and I don’t even have my own DESK, so I guess that’s a good place to start haha! I’m getting an office built though so I can’t wait to get my desk and all my essentials. Plants, plants, plants for me!

It’s amazing how much a plant or a fun coffee mug can brighten your day! My husband came home a few weeks ago with a surprise – it was this adorable black and teal mug that says ‘Dog’s Best Friend’ on it. Every time I look at it through the day, it makes me smile (as does the coffee it contains lol)
You’re right! I like to put things I love around me to keep brighten my day! Coffee, plants, colorful stationery, planner, so on. And I adore dogs so much, I have three at home for 6 years. I’m gonna find a coffee mug like yours lol ~ my mom planning to make them clothes for Christmas soon, so can’t wait 😀

This is such a good list! I definitely feel like nowadays with everything going digital, you cannot do anything without a laptop; especially a laptop that will last a long time! I definitely need a cup of coffee to get me through the day. I love decorating my workspace, it makes it that much cozier and comforting. I also have a diffuser with essential oils turned on throughout the day to help with relaxation. Thanks for sharing your list!
