[A collaboration post – all thoughts are my own.]

Less than two weeks remain until we bid 2022 farewell! Have you made any plans to make life better starting in 2023?
You know, habits have a big role in the direction your life goes, and as I’ll explain to you in a moment, there are several everyday routines you can start today that will instantly make your life better.
Just imagine yourself at the age of six or seven. You probably didn’t have many habits when you were that young. However, as the years passed, you acquired more and more positive and negative habits. Though you might not have given it much thought before, habits are hard to break. It is therefore never too late to adopt new habits and make life better.
For this reason, if you feel burdened by your negative habits, start kicking them into shape by switching them out for these 8 uplifting, life-changing techniques:
Be grateful for the good things in your life
In life, failures and challenges are unavoidable. But the most of problems may be overcome if you have a positive outlook. And when you do, your confidence will grow and it will make life better. This is something you can definitely be grateful for.
To stay strong, though, you may need to occasionally focus on the positive aspects of your life when the worst-case scenarios are happening. For example, your finances might be crumbling, but your career is continuously getting stronger. It would be simple to feel depressed about your financial difficulties (I’ve been there), but it would be much healthier to focus your attention and appreciation on the positive aspects of your life, like your career.
Go to bed a little earlier and wake up earlier
Start going to bed 30 minutes earlier than normal tonight. Make sure to wake up tomorrow morning 30 minutes early as well. Your day could be improved significantly by this small adjustment.
You will have more time to start your day off well by taking your time instead of frantically hurrying to get ready for work in the morning. While enjoying a smoothie on your porch, working out for 10 minutes, and stretching, you can still read a few pages of your favorite book.
Turn off your notification when you’re working
It shouldn’t come as a surprise because as notifications come in, we are naturally drawn to check our phones. Although it’s a bad habit, most people have it and so do I. But when you need to concentrate intently (like I do when translating some documents), then turning off the notifications, or at the very least switching to airplane mode, will help to clear your head and increase your concentration. Try it out and see!
Drink water all day every day
You’ve probably heard that you should drink at least eight glasses of water each day, but do you actually do it? If not, you are depriving your body and mind of vital hydration. You’ll be surprised by how wonderful you feel and how nice you look with the right amount of water intake each day!

Walk as much as you can
Have you ever noticed how passive most people’s lives are? They drive to work, spend the day in front of a screen, then drive home and binge on the newest Netflix series. That is so me!
We should move our bodies since they were meant to do so! Simple steps like using the stairs to get home instead of the elevator and taking your pets for a morning walk around the block can help. Instead of getting home in the evening and resting on the couch, take 20 to 30 minutes to walk around your neighborhood.
You’ll be surprised by how much better you feel after adopting these habits. With less stress comes more energy!
Embrace learning
Without acquiring new knowledge, you cannot change your life. This is so that you can adjust to the process of transformation. However, as people age, they tend to quit learning because they find it boring and annoying. It doesn’t have to be this way, though. It may be enjoyable and rewarding.
No matter what you choose to learn, whether it’s how to be an interpreter or the basics of accounting, embrace learning and start improving your surroundings.
Ask for help when you need it
Nobody is capable of knowing or doing everything. This is why you shouldn’t be ashamed to ask for help when needed, delegate responsibilities to others when necessary, and cooperate with coworkers to make goals clear.
When I first started my blog, I tried to handle every aspect of it by myself, including blog writing, web design, marketing, and financial planning. I soon discovered, though, that seeking help was always better. This not only gave MOA some new ideas and inspiration, but it also made everything much more fun!
Practice self-care
Are you taking the proper care of yourself? If not, make changes to your nutrition, up your exercise level, and use positive self-talk while speaking to yourself. The way you talk to yourself affects your feelings, your beliefs, and your success.
You’ll agree that these eight ideas are simple enough for you to start using them in your life. Since it usually takes 30 days or so to form a new habit, you’ll probably need to practice more willpower during this time. After that, you won’t have to think about using these strategies because they will become a routine part of your life. In other words, they will have developed into routine behaviors and make life better.

Thank you for these tips. I’ll be sure to apply them come 2023. Merry Christmas.
I’m working on going to bed a little earlier myself. I’m also trying to learn that asking for help is okay and nobody will look down on me for asking. Great post 🙂
Yessssss!!!!!!! These are the things to do for a better next year. I pray that 2023 will better than 2022 for all of us.
These are such simple, yet powerful, habits that can go a long way toward reducing the stress in our lives. Thanks for sharing.
