I love to be organized. I have a dream to buy my own house and decorate every single place there. Last month, I watched how pantry organization is done and started to list matching containers, labeled bins, and color-coded systems to my future pantry.
I’m always looking for ways to keep my house and life organized. It makes me feel easier to see what I need or don’t need. I used to buy things that I don’t really need, just because they look beautiful and attract me. I hate when I buy something and then later find that we had plenty of it, but it was hidden behind something. Uuugh. Wasting money.
I began to understand what it takes to have a fantastic pantry is to understand that you will need to keep adjusting until you find something that not only looks great but also is realistic to maintain.
Declutter
Before you begin to dive into your pantry organization, you need to give your pantry a deep declutter. Sometimes, we keep storing food which already past their expiration date and the food we know we won’t eat.
Organized pantries should only have what you actually use, not fill up with an abundance of clutter.

Find New Place For Anything Odd
I think the easiest way to organize a place is by having a lot of space to organize in! If you store cleaning products, dishes, small appliances in your pantry, PLEASE try to find these new places that are not taking up your pantry.
Invest In Your Pantry
The truth is if you have containers, bins, or organizational places available for your pantry, organizing will be so much easier for you.
BUT, if you don’t? You need to invest in your pantry by purchasing some matches bins or containers.
Don’t have funds to do so? I understand. You can go container hunting in your house or ask your family or friends, find anything you can use as containers. Pull together what you have and make it work!
If the containers you have don’t match with each other, go spray painting your containers to make them match! Be creative. You can find many ideas on the internet or by watching youtube.
Label
What I find creative when you organize your pantry is by labelling your containers. Give labels to your canned goods, snacks, baking, pasta, etc. If you do this, it will be easier to put things back in their place.
Organized pantries have a lot of labeled bins, jars, and containers to help keep clutter under control. Adding labels make your organizing more effective and a method that will make a huge difference in your pantry!
Maintaining
You’re not going to clean, declutter, and organize your pantry once, but just like with anything else, you must maintain it.
When you find new ideas and want to organize your pantry in the future, don’t be afraid to re-organize spaces that you think don’t look good enough. Maybe you need more containers, bins, or maybe more labeling.
Once you are satisfied with the results, do a quick five-minutes clean-up session once in a while. That all it will take for you to get your pantry looking just as clean as the day you organize it!

Pantry Storage Containers
Spice Jar Containers
There are tons of bins, containers, and jars you can choose from the above list! You can add the lists to your cart if you’re ready to redo your pantry. And here some tips for you to organize your pantry:
- Remove anything from your pantry that you could place somewhere else.
- Throw your old food and the ingredients you will never use.
- Take food out from the original packaging and preserve your food even longer in airtight containers.
- Don’t be afraid to give labels for shelves, jars, or bins.
- Add some lighting to brighten up a small pantry.
- Give something to freshen up your pantry, such as removable wallpaper or paint the walls with something fresh.
Make your dream pantry come true! Happy decluttering!
PIN FOR LATER

These are great tips. When we renovated our kitchen a few years ago, I couldn’t believe the stuff I found lurking in the back of the pantry. In our new pantry, we have roll-out shelves which has made a HUGE difference.
Wow! Nice to hear that! I hope I can have my own kitchen someday. Thank you for reading! xxx

Great for you, dear! Thanks for reading xx
The kitchen is the one place in the house I do go container happy! We try to avoid one trick pony appliances (my daughter is begging for a waffle iron) so we don’t have the storage issue. I love the “anything odd” bit! Pantries do have a tendency to become a catch-all.
So agree with you! Thank you for stopping by 🙂
I am a lover of keeping things neat, so lists and labels are my friends. That said, I am almost ashamed to admit that pretty much none of my spices are labeled. I know them by look and smell, which has its advantages for me but makes anyone else lost in my kitchen, so labels are something I want to get done! Thanks for the motivation!
I know that! I’m not good with cooking so I definitely need labels for everything lol Thank you! xxx

So, one of the things I don’t care for about the kitchen in my townhome is that there’s no pantry (okay, that’s really one of the MANY things I don’t like about this kitchen haha) so my husband and I bought this big wire rack for our appliances and foods when we moved in. But it’s a MESS and I’d love to do some serious organizing. It’s been on my list for this year, so thanks for the inspiration!
I always have a dream to have my own pantry at my dream house (someday in the future lol)! I’m not a great cook but I eat a lot haha thank you for stopping by, Steph 😀

Yes! I like to use the same jars for my cookies or snacks. Thank you for reading, Kari 😀
Labeling and investing in some containers made the world of difference! Although I have a lot of food, it’s all easy to find and grab. I actually put the cooking time on my labels for pasta as well so I don’t forget

I love these tips! I definitely need to get some containers and labels. Everything is just kind of scattered in our pantry. It makes it hard to find things sometimes.
Lovely tips, I’m trying to go zero waste so will be buying some containers in the near future xx
Love these tips, I just purchased two storage cabinets, bins, racks and drawers. I got tired of seeing certain things without a specific place to be stored. Next, I need to try some of your suggestions, thanks again.
