[A collaboration post – all thoughts are my own.]

Ah, coffee. Finally, we have an article dedicated to my favorite drink. Not my morning friend, but my afternoon bestie. Having a warm cup of coffee is something that many millions of people enjoy every day. Each person will enjoy drinking coffee in their own way and in their own time.
Personally, the smell and taste of coffee are comforting. If you are sleepy in the mid of working, having a cup of coffee can help you feel more relaxed and keep being productive. And if you live in a hot climate, like in Bali right now, you have the option of having your favorite coffee drink iced.
I started drinking coffee regularly in mid of 2018. I don’t drink black coffee and it took me years to something as comfortable as regular coffee. I have a ridiculously strong sweet tooth. I still drink mine with cream and sugar, but that’s because I think it enhances the flavor of the coffee. Cappuccino is my favorite order when walking into a coffee shop and I would put extra pumps in to make it sweeter!
Ways To Enjoy Drinking Coffee
Invest in a coffee maker
I’m saving to buy a coffee maker this year! I still use the traditional way to make a coffee and that is because I limit myself to only drinking one cup of coffee a day. However, if you’re an extremely busy bee who has limited to no time to prepare fresh coffee on a daily basis, then a coffee maker can be the best option for you.

Use fair trade coffees and zero waste packaging
Most people can drink 3-4 cups of coffee every day! You might not think it, but the coffee industry is a pretty big contributor to harmful emissions and non-biodegradable waste. Selecting your coffee beans from an eco-friendly company is the first step to helping the environment, and there are lots of options to choose from:
- Organic – these beans have been grown without those pesticides or fertilizers which are harmful to the environment.
- Fair Trade – this trademark ensures that your coffee beans are grown in a way that’s socially and environmentally fair.
Where you can find those two?
You can find these two with Roastiva Coffee Roasters, a humanistic-oriented coffee roasting company in Grand Junction Colorado. At Roastiva, they care deeply about the environment and they do not use any plastic packaging (I love this!) or shipping materials.
Their coffee beans are all certified organic, meaning none of the harmful pesticides are allowed at the plantations. Not only that, 5% of all Roastiva profit is donated to a local charity that you, as a coffee club member vote on at the end of the year. The best thing about all these is they only carry Certified Fair Trade coffees, while also donating to growers directly. This will ensure that at least 20% of what you pay goes directly to the farmer who grew your coffee. Isn’t that great?
You’re not only saving the world but also helping the growers who provide you with the high-quality beans that you enjoy on daily basis. So, if you’d like to have sustainably sourced, high-quality coffee beans roasted and sent right to you on the day it is roasted, check out the Roastiva Coffee Roasters!

Measure water
There was a time when I asked my mom to pour water into my coffee mug. Well, the taste turned out to be not to my liking (but I thank her anyway!). Finding the right balance between the amount of water you add and the amount of coffee powder you have can give you the best results in the end. Add a certain amount of warm water to ensure the powder and any sugar you add are combined well and give you the good taste you are after.
Choose a suitable time
As you know, coffee is not like any other warm drink that you have during the day. It has its own mood and you need to choose the right time to drink it so that you can fully enjoy the experience. And everyone has their own momentum to drink a coffee.
The best time to enjoy drinking coffee is during the morning. When you wake up, a fresh cup of coffee can give you the boost you need and keep you energized. This really describes my mom. She always drinks a regular coffee around 6 am. While I enjoy drinking coffee around 12 – 1 pm after finishing my most important task. Of course, each person has their own preference and unique schedules that determine the best coffee break time for them.
For most of us, coffee is a ritual that helps us through the day, no matter how hard it is. If you’ve decided that simple, black coffee is just not good enough for you anymore, then you’re just the same as me. Just remember one thing – it’s important to use high-quality coffee beans for every cup of coffee, at least if you want to enjoy drinking coffee.
I hope this helps you as you begin, or renew, your coffee journey!

I don’t drink an awful lot of coffee but when I do its typically a cappuccino (if I’m out) or an instant double chocolate mocha if I’m an home. I’d love to invest in a coffee maker x
Oh I found another cappuccino buddy 😀

Oh I do love coffee. I actually started drinking more of it recently (after a little pause) and investing in the best equipment is so important! A brilliant article, Merry x
Choose a suitable time is one of the best ways to enjoy coffee. I like to drink coffee when I’m out with my girls at a lovely cafe.
