[A collaboration post – all thoughts are my own.]

Have you found something interesting for you this year? Or are you still trying to find your passion for 2023?
Picture this: You get out of bed in the morning eager to head to work, and even if you work longer hours than the average person, you don’t find it challenging because the time goes by so quickly at work. However, if you continually lack motivation, hate going to work, or find your work to be boring and monotonous, then it means you should start looking for a new job in 2023.
You know, you frequently experience what is known as “flow,” a state or situation of mind in which you lose sight of time and space while completely engrossed in the activity at hand. Work is not what many people think it is; rather, it is something enjoyable, fascinating, and thrilling. It’s not “work,” but a passion that results in a happy existence.
What do you feel passionate about? This will sound like a pipe dream to you if you currently have a job that you dislike or even hate. Such a thing will never be achievable if you never make the effort to find what you are passionate about.
But it’s not only a possibility; it’s a probability if you dare to ask, “How can I find my passion?”, consider the options, and genuinely look for what you love.
How to find your passion?
I would strongly advise finding something you are passionate about and making it your career if you could change just one thing about your life. Finding your passion may not be as simple as it sounds, but the effort is well worth it. The secret to your well-being, overall happiness, and satisfaction may lie in your passion for what you do.
Find out what you’ve been reading about for hours
Personally, I can read endlessly about something if I become passionate about it. I’ll spend days on the Internet finding out more. For instance, when I started my blog two years ago, I spent two months learning about the blogging world: how to create a self-hosted blog, how to write content, and more about SEO-ing.
There could be a few options here for you, and they are all potential career pathways. Keep an open mind about these topics. This will give you a head start as you discover how to uncover your passion.

Find something you already love doing
What do you find most fascinating about life? Have you ever thought of pursuing a career in a hobby or activity you enjoyed as a child?
I’ve always loved reading, and because I watch movies a lot, I’ve also been interested in English since elementary school. I finally decided to try being a translator in 2014 after years of doing something I love. And I also really enjoy my job as a content writer!
There is surely a way for you to make a living doing whatever it is that you enjoy doing, whether it’s reading something, collecting something, making something, or building. You’re ahead of the game if you already do something you enjoy. You only need to look into your options for making money from it right now.
Brainstorm
If you’re trying to figure out how to find your passion and nothing comes to mind straight away, take a piece of paper and start making notes. This list doesn’t have to be well-organized. It could just be a piece of paper filled with scribbles or random thoughts.
Write down any ideas that come to mind when you look around your home, on your computer, or in your books. At this point, there are no bad ideas. Later on, all of this will be useful because it may provide hints about your passions.

Don’t quit your job just yet
If you discover your calling or passion, do not resign the next day. Keep at your job as long as you can as you explore your options. When I graduated from college in 2017, even though I had started working as a freelance translator in 2014, I also looked for an office job since I wanted a regular monthly salary. I needed a second job to increase my monthly income because, as a freelance translator, there were periods when I had no translation projects for weeks or even months.
Even better if you can pursue your passion as a side hustle for a few months or a year and increase your income. It offers you the option to develop some savings while honing the necessary abilities (and if you plan to start your own blog, you’ll need that financial reserve).
Do as much research as possible
Learn everything you can about your passion. You might already be doing this if you’ve had this as a hobby for some time. In any case, do more research. Browse every website on the topic and buy the greatest books you can find.
Find others who work in the field you wish to pursue, either locally or online, and ask them questions about it. How much do they make, and what kind of education and training is required? What abilities are required, and how did they begin? Which recommendations do they make?
Give it a try first
If you’re trying to figure out how to find your passion, it’s best to actually test your new concept before pursuing it professionally. Begin by doing it as a hobby or side business to see if it is truly your true calling. I started a blog in 2020 as a hobby, but after a year it turned into a side business that I enjoy.
You might be passionate about something for a few days, but the real test is whether you feel that way for at least a few months. If you pass this test, you have probably found it.
Practice, practice, and practice
If you’re almost ready to find your passion, don’t approach it with a beginner’s skill set. You need professional abilities if you wish to earn money or work as a professional.
You will earn money in your future career if you excel at it. If it’s something you love, the practice should be something you want to do and be life-fulfilling. Practice for hours on end and learn how to focus.
Those pieces of advice above are some tips from me on how to find your passion. Remember that although this will require a lot of work, it will be the best investment you have ever made. Spend some time answering the question, “What are you passionate about?” and you’ll find that your days are more satisfying, leading to longer periods of happiness and well-being.

Yessssss!!!!!!! These are good ways to find our passion. I’m glad I found mine and that is creative writing & art. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome! All the best to you, Fadima 😀
