[Guest Post]

This post is going to be about something that you might want to pay attention to once you consider blogging your business. It’s not the normal blogging as when you started. I’m going to share my perspective and things necessary for you as a blogger.
I’m going to talk about what is business mindset means and how to build the mindset. Also, I will share when you need to consider it as a business because it’s going to be different and you will have different tasks to do. However, it doesn’t mean that you will get overwhelmed. This is only if you started blogging as a hobby and later things changed and the blog became your source of income.
How is the business mindset for bloggers could also be applied to any content creators. Because blogging is similar to YouTubers but with slight differences in tasks and how things are done. Even bloggers can be YouTubers and follow the same things for both platforms.
You might have been doing it and you don’t know yet. So I’m hoping this how is the business mindset for bloggers will help to put some light on it. Explaining everything that you need to know about it. Mention important things that we need to pay attention to. Let me know in the comment. Do you aim to make blogging your online business? if so, do you have a plan for it?
How is the business mindset for bloggers
First, before I talk about how is the business mindset for bloggers, I would like to explain what is business mindset means. And when do you consider it that way? You will understand more about it and it gets more clear for you when I mention the things we need to do below.
The word business mindset is based on Google search and it is a way of thinking that enables you to uncover and see problems as opportunities. And it doesn’t have to just be with blogging but also many things in life. When you decide to turn it into business, more things will be added to the list. More things will be important to you.
And I’m going to mention how is the business mindset for bloggers because I’m a blogger myself and I learned a lot throughout my blogging journey. Hoping it will help new people who want to turn their blogging into a business. As it might require you to do more things, that doesn’t mean it will be harder.
It just means that you are taking blogging more seriously and spend more time on it. This usually happens when you have blogging as your source of income. That’s when you can consider blogging as your business. Maybe you need to turn your blog into a business while working on another business that will help you do it. Either way, it won’t be as harder as you think but will require more attention and time.
You might see people getting paid from blogging but they are not calling it a business yet. Well, because their mindset is not for business. They just enjoy it and it happens to be a source of income as well. You need to do certain things to call that’s my business or someone’s business.
1. The numbers matter to you
When you blogging for a hobby, you just creating content and share it with the world. Whoever can see it or will see it, that’s great. And you are not bothered by how many people see it. That’s normal and anyone would do it starting blogging.
However, when you want to make it your business, you will find yourself paying more attention to the numbers. Views numbers, and all the important stats numbers. This doesn’t mean it’s everything but it means it’s very important. The more people see your content, the better your business is doing. That will also determine how well you are doing.
I would worry about the numbers because of the quality, maybe something I didn’t do. Also, it could be that you need to pay attention to some things as well. Whatever it is, looking at the stats, it’s more important and that’s when you know it’s a business.
You can find bloggers who care about the stats but still don’t have the business mindset. Once they start paying more attention and looking for ways to get higher and better stats. Finding more ways to fix a problem or find a new way to get traffic. I think that’s when you call it a business.
The stats are important either way, but for people who want it as a hobby, they will care less about it. If you are looking for more awesome tips and benefits for writing down your blog stats. You can check the link after reading this post. Learn more about the stats and why they are important.
Also, a mindset for bloggers means that they adjust and keep changing their way of promoting if they have low numbers. Maybe find a new way to market their content. So it can get them more traffic and I’m sure people who earn money from blogging will do this. That’s how is the business mindset for bloggers
2. Working more hours
You can know the difference between someone who thinks of blogging as a business or as a hobby. When you work more than you started blogging. It’s either you planning to make it or it’s already your new idea of business. Because no one would spend time on something that won’t make them money and leave their actual business. That’s how you know that the business mindset growing on you.
Spending more hours on blogging is not always considered a business. Because I could spend time just reading or creating content which makes me a content creator. However, when you spend your time studying your stats and looking for more opportunities. Improving your blog and doing a lot of things that will get you more traffic. That’s the real business mindset.
If you see someone always on the grind to look for more opportunities and new ways to get more traffic for their blog. That’s how is the business mindset for bloggers. And I highly recommend doing that because it’s the way to be successful if you want to turn your blog into a business. Also, how can I get more money and that’s totally fine.
Also, if you noticed, it’s not really hard but it requires more time and effort to do it. As I said, it doesn’t have to be harder. I’m sure a lot of people can do it if they have what it takes. Which are the two most important ones, time and effort.
How is the business mindset for bloggers … it depends on how you run things and see them. Because bloggers who use their blog as a hobby would see the number as just a number and appreciate that he/she got that number of people. However, a business mindset would care more about it and worry if it’s low and get excited if it’s high.
3. The layout of the blog is different
Well, is not just different but also very important. Bloggers who take good care of the blog would be a good start to develop the business mindset. However, the way how they use each spot of the layout does matter. If you blogging as a hobby, then you would only care about few things as the share buttons. However. How is the business mindset for bloggers is that every spot is matter and also have more things to add to their blog.
Not just adding things but also how things are organized. These people who blog as a hobby would do it as well but when you look for how to use each spot and organize it. That’s how you know the blogger means business. You can explore the internet and see different blogs and how each blogger treats their blog and layout. You can tell if it’s serious or not.
Some things should be added at certain places if you mean business and that changes the layout of the blog and make it different from people who blog as a hobby. When you decide to turn the blog into a business, you will learn more about it. Each spot of the blog theme will help you in some way or another to grow something for your business.
I would say most people take care of their blog layout because it’s important. But how is the business mindset for bloggers is that it’s more serious and important. Don’t skip any good spot for either placing something important. For example, the email list box.
Final thoughts
There are a lot of things when bloggers have a business mindset. You will learn as you keep blogging and posting. Also, having more blogging friends. It’s not really that hard but sometimes can go through it. However, there is going to be a solution for it eventually. So, if you decide to have that mindset, don’t worry. You got this!
This is it for this post and I hope you enjoyed reading it. I’m curious whether you see blogging as a business or hobby? and what are your plans for your blog?
