Welcome to the Day Awards 2022!

As you know, we celebrate International Translation Day every September 30th. This day is intended to honor and pay tribute to the work of language professionals and their role in facilitating peace, cooperation, understanding, and dialogue between nations.

Differences in political, religious, ideological, and cultural perspectives have led to wide gaps, miscommunications, and divisions in our society. Language barriers prevent us from closing those gaps and enhancing our relations with each other, organizations, business, and people we don’t know. On a wider scale, this can be between governments, cities, and countries.

People come in all shapes, and our hearts, minds, and words take on the shape of a country, a language, and an ideology. When communicating in a foreign language, it becomes more difficult to deliver the message to people from diverse cultures and thought processes without modifying the message itself. And most importantly, creating meaningful communication between people of different nationalities. A language is a tool that we can use to build relationships, promote communication, and build bridges.

Day Translation celebrates International Translation Day every September 30 by holding Day Awards. Day Awards is an online event that awards and recognizes the work and tolls of linguists around the globe. This allows us the chance to recognize the accomplishments of writers, experts, and linguists from around the world who have succeeded in interacting with people in a variety of languages. Language professionals such as translators and interpreters play a bigger role in our lives than simply converting one language into another.
