Looking for fun summer date ideas with your partner? Here are 10 summer date ideas that are perfect for some summer lovin’.
What time is it? Summertime
It’s our vacation
What time is it? Party time
That’s right, say it aloud
What time is it? Time of our lives
Anticipation
What time is it? Summertime
School’s out, scream and shout
Have you ever heard this song? I know most of you will know the title from the first line.
It’s my favorite song from High School Musical 2!
It’s summertime, everyone! Summertime is meant for relaxing, soaking up the sun, or just enjoying a night out on the patio, don’t you think?
When summer arrives, there are plenty of fun outdoor activities under the warmer weather. Basically, the weather is just right for spending a little time doing something simple with the person you love most! You’ll love these relaxing and fun summer date ideas that will unquestionably bring you the most out of your summer.
Fun Summer Date Ideas
As COVID-19 enters, CDC reminds us that outdoor activities give less risk than indoor ones. If you’re looking for fun summer date ideas – outside is the place to be. So, whether you’re searching for first-date ideas or looking to spice up your current relationship, these fun summer date ideas are perfect for you.
Visit a Vineyard
For wine lovers, driving through a vineyard is a dreamy date! Sip under the sun, get on with your fancy selves, and bring home a souvenir for later. I recommend booking a guided wineries tour, so you can leave the driving to someone else and get your cuddle on in the backseat.
Go For a Bike Ride
Summertime is the right time for bike riding of all kinds. Zoom down a mountain trail, explore your city, or peddle in your local park! You and your love will enjoy it all.
Hit the Beach
Let’s get beachy! Sure, the sand gets everywhere, but it wouldn’t be summer without at least one trip to the beach. Bring some cold beverages, a good book, and a couple of towels, and you and your lover are set for the day.
Watch a Sunset
I like to watch the sunset! Super peaceful and offering a heaping dose of natural beauty, this summer date classic also gives you a chance to canoodle. For that matter, so does watching the sunset.
Pack a Picnic
There’s a reason picnicking is a summer date favorite. Wearing your stunning summer dress, lazing on a cozy blanket in a beautiful spot, drinking wine, and feeding each other grapes – it’s not only romantic, but it’s also super-relaxing! If you’re a new couple, being outside in this low-pressure setting will help you get to know one another on a deeper level.

Day Trip to a New Town
If you don’t have a clue where to spend your time, it’s a great idea if you like to explore a new area. Go research fun activities on sites like Trip Advisor or your own city’s website.
Head to the Dog Park
Do you have pets? This is another fun date that gets you out of your house but doesn’t require you to work up a sweat. Take your children to the nearby dog park—maybe they will find a hot date, too!
Go to the Farmer’s Market
Spend a lazy weekend morning nibbling on samples of locally grown produce, and then pick up some ingredients to cook up together!
Volunteer Together
Set aside a day or more as a couple to volunteer. Help out cleaning up your local park or walking dogs at a local shelter. There’s nothing that makes you feel quite as good as doing good.

My husband and I are in the process of buying a house and moving, so our summer will be plenty busy – but we’ve already chatted about doing some drive-in movie dates, afternoons at a winery, and time spent grilling on our new back porch! Love your ideas so much.
