[Gifted – all thoughts are my own.]

Are you a cat mom or dog mom, or do you know one? Pets are part of the family! Get your pet portraits on canvas from Pixels Photo Art. The perfect choice for the cat or dog fanatic in your life.
If you’ve followed me on Instagram, you’re probably aware of the fact that I have three dogs at home. I often take pictures of my dogs, and I have photographed them hundreds of times over the years. So, it should come as no surprise to learn that I jumped on the opportunity to try out the Pixels Photo Art pet portraits on canvas feature.
Pet parents love getting products with their pet’s name or face on them. Last year, I bought tag names for my dogs, and it makes me happy to show them off to my parents, family, and friends. Some of us even keep photos of our pets around our homes or places we love. So, what if you could have personalized pet portraits on canvas, like the one from Pixels Photo Art, to show your pet off in style?

About Pixels Photo Art
The Sergeant-Military Pet Portrait from Pixels Photo Art is a unique way to display my pet’s adorable face. Pixels Photo Art not only makes a portrait of your pet, but they can also personalize your loved one in one-of-a-kind custom Renaissance portraits.
This is a type of artwork in which a talented artist paints a digital painting using a photo as a reference. The human artist actually does every task (makes brush strokes, etc.) by hand using a tablet and pen to carefully depict the pet’s features into the portrait—a 100% unique piece of art.
Find the Perfect Photo
Before getting started, there are a few points to consider when creating your potential pet portraits on canvas. Here are my recommendations before ordering your pet portraits on canvas with Pixels Photo Art:
- Try your best to find photos of your pet looking directly at the camera
- Natural lighting is recommended
- Avoid blurry and dimly lit photos
- Try not to use shots taken from overhead
- Be sure to make sure that ears and other important facial features aren’t cropped out of your shot.

Pixels Photo Art: Pet Portraits On Canvas
So, how did my pet portraits on canvas come out?
Unfortunately, I don’t have the best quality photo of my dog (I’m aware that I’m not a skilled photographer). So I sent them the best one that I could find on my phone—I had to pick one from hundreds of recent photos!
The process of submitting is pretty simple: you simply upload your photograph to Pixels Photo Art, and they will do the rest for you. And they came back to me with my pet portrait in less than 24 hours.

They did a phenomenal job! They sent the finished portrait to me to make sure I liked it, and it was amazing. It actually turned out better than I expected and was beautifully done. It looks exactly like my Micky—the colors and eyes were exactly his. It finished very quickly, and I love how I can revise it until I am satisfied.
After that, I requested that they send me the file digitally, and I would print it myself. They were very responsive to my questions via email and delivered the digital photo promptly.
I had issues with the printing because some of the best printings (that I know of) here were not open since the Balinese government asked all shops and malls that do not serve daily needs to close during August and September. COVID cases are increasing in Java and Bali, so it’s a bit difficult for me to find an online print shop.
Initially, I was planning to buy a metal frame, but in the end, I decided to go with a simple wooden frame (like the rest of my photo collection—try to be more eco-friendly). I will hang it on the wall of my room, which is in my hometown because I plan to decorate it at the end of October! Yay! I can’t wait!

This beautiful piece of artwork would be a lovely decoration for any home. I know many pet parents would love to have their pet portraits on canvas like this! Just send a picture of your animal companion, and Pixels Photo Art will put their face on a canvas.
If you choose to order one of these canvases, you will need to visit the company’s website. They also offer other costumes that you can put your pet’s face on. I chose the Sergeant-Military Pet Portrait. I’m sure that with over 60 unique costumes, you’ll find something that truly represents your pet’s personality. All you have to do is upload a photo with your order, and they will personalize your pet portraits.

Once your artwork is ready, they’ll let you know. You can preview your portrait, request any changes, and approve it for printing! Pixels Photo Art won’t print your canvas until you approve the portrait.
The artwork can be delivered digitally or printed on a canvas or poster. The canvas featured in my review is a 16×20″ size. These are the Pixels Photo Art sizes to choose from:
- Poster Print or Canvas Print – size 12×16″
- Poster Print or Canvas Print – size 16×20″
- Poster Print or Canvas Print – size 18×24″
- Poster Print or Canvas Print – size 24×36″
The ordering process was very simple, right?
Digital deliveries are done within 1-3 days (usually 24 hours), and their print centers in the EU and US guarantee fast delivery times wherever you are in the world (around 5–10 days). But be sure that you order in advance if you’re ordering a gift that needs to arrive by a certain date.
Pet portraits on canvas are the best gift for pet parents or your pet’s anniversary—in fact, they’re perfect for any occasion!
