AD: Product Review

Whether it’s work, entertainment, or simply staying connected, our daily lives revolve around screens. While this technological advancement has brought tremendous benefits, it has also introduced a new concern: digital eye strain. That’s where blue-light glasses step in as your guardian angel for the digital age.
In my line of work, I clock in over eight hours a day glued to my computer screen. And if that wasn’t enough screen time, I’d catch myself peering at yet another screen—my trusty smartphone—once the workday was done. It didn’t take long for my eyes to send distress signals, making me feel like they’d run a marathon by evening. There were moments when I’d even experience a bit of dizziness until I finally powered down my digital companions for the day.
A study in the Journal of Adolescent Health showed that when a group of young boys wore orange glasses while looking at their phones for a few hours before bed, they felt “significantly more sleepy” than when they wore clear glasses.
Blue light itself isn’t a bad thing. It’s everywhere, including in the sunlight. But now we’re constantly bathing in artificial light, most of it blue. Too much exposure to blue light at night suppresses the secretion of melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep cycles.
Let’s face it, it’s tough to escape that ever-present blue light, even when we’re cozied up indoors with the curtains drawn. Why? Well, most likely because we’re parked right in front of our trusty computer screens, TVs, or smartphones. It’s like blue light is always finding a way to sneak into our lives!
Blue-light glasses don’t have to be ugly
For those who spend the majority of their time indoors, blue-light glasses protect your eyes from extended exposure to blue light and help relax your vision, reducing digital eye strain. If you, like me, find yourself spending countless hours in front of screens, you’re probably familiar with the woes of digital eye strain.

I’ve heard that blue-light glasses is good for blocking computer screen. I wore Sojosvision blue-light glasses consistently during my workday, evening leisure time, and late-night browsing sessions. I noted any changes in eye strain, discomfort, and overall visual experience.
Met Again
I got these blue-light glasses for my mom. The Met Again frames are designed with a timeless square shape that makes them ideal for your everyday eyewear needs. Crafted from lightweight yet durable materials, these frames offer not only style but also a comfortable and secure fit you can rely on. The glasses are also adorably chic and elegant, with options to add a prescription if you need it.
Classy and Halo
I opted for a Classy with a Rose Gold Frame with blue-light filtering and no prescription. Their glasses filter out the higher end of the blue light spectrum, so the lens doesn’t look yellow. They also offer prescription glasses if you need them.
Another bonus for myself, I got Halo Sunglasses with Gold Frame Burgundy Lens! Oh, I don’t know what to say about this. It’s so perfect for me who likes going and exploring nature. Doesn’t it look pretty?

Let me start by gushing over how much I adore the packaging – it’s a real treat! The box comes with all sorts of goodies for the glasses, and you can see it below. Now, let’s talk about the glasses themselves. As someone who has a soft spot for rose gold, I can’t help but rave about how beautiful and chic they are! Even my mom chimed in, saying I look pretty in them, and honestly, I couldn’t agree more. These glasses work some kind of magic – they definitely don’t make you look anything less than fabulous!
Now, I’ve tried my fair share of glasses in the past, but these are my very first blue-light glasses. Since I spend an absolute ton of time working on content creation, I’ve always been concerned about my eye health. I really didn’t want to resort to prescription glasses at such a young age (or any age, really). However, I couldn’t avoid using regular glasses to ease the strain from staring at computer screens all day.
These blue-light glasses have been a game-changer. Not only do they save me from looking less than stellar in front of the computer, but they also work their magic in blocking out that pesky radiation from the screen. It’s like a comfy shield for my eyes, and it’s made a world of difference during those long writing sessions.

They made us more aware of our screen time
Normally, I’d only sport my regular glasses at home – the ones that don’t block out that pesky blue light. But once I started wearing these blue-light glasses every time I gazed at a screen, it was like a wake-up call. I became acutely aware of just how often I found myself glued to screens.
Oddly enough, this newfound awareness sparked a change in my screen habits. I started getting intentional about stashing my phone away and opting for cozy evenings on the sofa with a good book and a steaming cup of coffee. Giving my eyes a break from constant screen time worked wonders. I felt more relaxed, and it translated into better sleep as well. Who would’ve thought these glasses could lead to such a lovely change in routine?

Wearing them was totally worth it
By the end of the day, my eyes felt remarkably more refreshed, thanks to the reduced screen time and minimized glare. Not to mention, they looked noticeably less fatigued. What’s more, I received a slew of compliments on my new glasses – it’s like a style upgrade with a bonus!
They significantly reduced eye fatigue and dryness, making my workdays more comfortable. Plus, the lightweight and stylish design meant I didn’t mind wearing them all day. However, I did notice some minor scratches on the lenses after a couple of weeks.
I wholeheartedly recommend these to anyone grappling with the woes of digital eye strain. However, I’d also suggest making a conscious effort to cut down on LED lighting and screen time, especially at night, for maximum benefits.
As for how much I adore my blue-light glasses? Well, my review might be over, but I’m still rocking them right now. These glasses have found a permanent spot in my daily routine!

Love this post. These are such beautiful glasses! I wear glasses so I don’t know how I’d go about blue light glasses too? Perhaps my opticians offers something like this with a prescription x
I think your opticians offer blue-light glasses with a prescription as well. I hope so! Thank you Jen 😀
These all look great! I got my lenses fixed for blue light and wow, they work so well! I really love the look of the classic frame and Wonderland one! Thank you for sharing x

I used to have a really ugly pair of blue light blocking glasses, these look way better! I’ll definitely have to check them out, so thank you for sharing x
Thank you for stopping by 😀
I finally got myself a pair of blue light blocking glasses last autumn and they’ve really helped minimize my headache and the strain on my eyes. The only problem is that they’re not my prescription, so I always have to switch glasses multiple times throughout the day to cater to my vision. Eventually, I’ll get some with my Rx so I can use them all day long!
I see. I still use normal glasses with blue light blocking glasses. Perhaps, I’ll need prescription glasses in the future haha thank you Steph!
I didn’t even know these existed. And I sit in front of a laptop all day so I’m sure I need them.
Definitely! You need them for sure 😀
This is such a great idea, and so fashionable! I think that it’s important to have blue light protection, but I’ve always been a bit put off. Thank you x
Thank you! It does! It makes you look fashionable. Thank you 😀
I love my blue light glasses! I’m a night owl when it comes to blogging, but I don’t want it to harm my sleep cycle. This is such a lifesaver! Great post
Couldn’t agree more! Thank you Lisa 😀
I made the shift to wearing blue light glasses during my workday about a year ago and I definitely did see a difference in how I was feeling at the end of the day. That being said, I’ve never considered blue light sunglasses. I do work outside a lot in the summer, so that’s something I should really look into!
Awesome! I never used blue-light glasses, this is my first time. And yes, I did see a difference now, I try to reduce my panda eyes haha 😀
I didn’t know this was even a thing! I just started a job last year that involves a lot more screen time and my eyes and head have been getting so sore! I knew about blue light and try to reduce screen time but like you say it’s hard! I love the rose gold glasses, gonna hop on and have a wee look!
Yes, it’s hard especially because it’s your job. You definitely need to try this blue-light glasses 😀
